I took these photographs after the death of my Armenian grandpa, in his apartment, just before he left it. I confronted myself to this horror, and in the refusal of forgetfulness, I took photographs, to imprint his last remnants thoughts, his emblems of solitude. Looking back at these photographs, I see them fleeting away, escaping me. I see the solitude of my grandpa, slowly abandoning himself after the disappearance of my grandmother, leaving his last traces behind.
